With multiple years of combined experience, our team of highly specialised female sonographers and compassionate, service driven admin staff will ensure you're well looked after.
Dr Victor Hurley
MBBS (MELB) FRANZCOG FROCG (UK) DDU COGU
Dr Victor Hurley is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who practices exclusively in ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. He is a past president of the AAOGU (Australian Association of Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasonologists), member and examiner of the sub-specialty committee for ultrasound RANZCOG, Chairman and convener of Victorian Obstetric Sonologists and Medical Councilor ASUM (Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine).
Dr Hurley is a previous senior lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Melbourne University based at the Mercy Hospital for Women and has held consultant positions at both the Royal Womens Hospital and Mercy Maternity.
Dr Hurley is now in full-time specialist practice at Melbourne Ultrasound for Women.
Dr Dina Rubinfeld
MBBS (hons) FRANZCOG DDU COGU
Dr Dina Rubinfeld is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who practices exclusively in ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. She is a member of the AAOGU (Australian Association of Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasonologists) and Victorian Obstetric Sonologists.
Dr Rubinfeld trained in all three tertiary Obstetric hospitals in Melbourne and now holds a consultant Sonologist position at the Mercy Hospital for Women in their fetal diagnostic unit. She is involved in training of COGU and radiology fellows in ultrasound and is also in the COGU exam review panel.
Dr Rubinfeld works two days a week in private practice at Melbourne Ultrasound for Women.
Kerryn our head sonographer, has worked with Dr. Hurley since 1993 and was involved in establishing Melbourne Ultrasound for Women in Hampton in December 2002.
Kerryn enjoys teaching and has spoken at many local and interstate conferences. For many years Kerryn was a tutor for the Obstetric & Gynaecology subject of the RMIT Post Graduate Ultrasound course.
Kerryn has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Ultrasonography.
Bachelor of Science (Monash University), DMU (Obstetric)
Daniella is a past Director of the Australian Sonographers Association serving for 2 years from 2010 to 2012.
Daniella is an Accredited Cardiac and Obstetric sonographer as well as an Accredited Nuchal Translucency Operator.
Having worked in both the public and private sectors, Daniella has been involved in ultrasound for over 15 years; she has a special interest in fetal echocardiography and is dedicated to ongoing education.
She is currently training to become a midwife.
SONOGRAPHER DCR(MU), DMU
Denise has enjoyed a long and varied history in Ultrasound commencing in the 70’s and has seen her profession change and grow. Educating and supporting sonographers has been her passion and has ensured she has the latest technology and skills to deliver the best results for her patients.
Training in London and Adelaide, Denise has worked across Australia as a clinical sonographer, a trainer and managing roles, in both private practice as well as in hospitals.
Denise was then able to take the next step in her training career and travelled extensively as a Clinical Applications Specialist for Philips Healthcare, this role was focused on supporting practices and training teams on best practice and latest technological advances within the industry.
Now, having moved to Melbourne to be a grandmother, Denise is fulfilling her personal interest, in working with women to ensure the best possible care.
Our Administration Staff
Ashleigh joined Melbourne Ultrasound for Women as Practice Manager in March 2017.
As Practice Manager Ashleigh leads our team of dedicated staff and is responsible
for the day to day operational management of the practice. Ashleigh has experience in a variety of specialities with qualifications in Management, Administration and IT.
She is passionate about ensuring patients are comfortable, fully informed and educated regarding their ultrasound appointments and upcoming procedures.
In her spare time, Ashleigh loves reading, collecting indoor plants and is currently learning Japanese.
Cindy is a recent graduate from Monash University with a major in Physiology and Developmental Biology. Cindy commenced work at Melbourne Ultrasound for Women in 2018 and will be the first point of contact with the practice, she will ensure you’re well looked after at all your appointments.
She has a strong interest in reproductive health and development and hopes to continue studies in the future.
Cindy tutors VCE Biology and Chemistry in her spare time and enjoys travelling.
Grace is in her final year of her Bachelor of Science & Law with a Major in Chemistry and Monash University. Grace joined Melbourne Ultrasound for Woman as a Receptionist in July 2016.
She has a strong interest in Criminal Law and access to justice and hopes to pursue a career as a lawyer in the future. Grace volunteers at a Legal Aid Centre and helps runs legal education seminars for prisoners at Port Phillip Prison.In her spare time she loves exercising, travelling and going to music festivals.
Suzanne emigrated from England in 1972 and has been in the medical profession since arriving in Australia. She worked at The Alfred Hospital for 17 years and then for urologic surgeons for another few years.
She started at MUFW in 2012 and is the “old chook” of the team. She is passionate about making patients feel comfortable and is very happy working for such professional team.
Sue loves to garden and enjoys doing crosswords in the sun with a cup of tea and her three dogs at her feet. When she's not enjoying the sunshine she is babysitting her three lovable grandchildren.
